When to Visit Maui

Maui is a year-round destination, with temperatures averaging around 80 degrees throughout the year. The high season runs from mid-December to mid-April, and this is when you'll find the most crowds and higher prices. If you're looking for a quieter time to visit, consider traveling in the shoulder seasons of late spring or fall. We've been to Maui at almost every time of year and there is never a bad time to visit Maui.

Maui is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, with an abundance of activities to suit all tastes. Here are some of the top things to do in Maui:

  • Road to Hana: This scenic drive takes you along the coast of Maui, past waterfalls, lush rainforest, and stunning vistas.



  • Haleakala National Park: The park is home to Haleakala, a dormant volcano that rises 10,000 feet above sea level. Visitors can hike the trails or watch the sunrise from the summit.
